The Park: A Neighborhood Gathering Place was born out of a vision for deeper connection.
In today's world, many people feel the effects of disconnection and isolation. While independence has its strengths, it can also leave us missing the richness of true community. The Park exits to change that--creating a place where neighbors can gather, share life, and build meaningful relationships.
Our goal is to foster connection across generations through activities that inspire curiosity and collaboration. From arts, music, and children's activities, to workshops, discussion groups, Bible studies, and community gatherings, we aim to provide opportunities for everyone to engage, contribute, and belong.

Meet our Founder
Kristen Strother has long been passionate about community-building, from engaging in volunteer projects as a young person, to obtaining a Masters Degree in Social Work specializing in Community-Based Practice, to creating free children's programming in her community. As a mental health therapist, Kristen has seen how frequently lack of community has contributed to mental health issues and lack of general support. Kristen believes that every person matters and no one should be left behind, and hopes that The Park will serve as a place of healing, rest, and fun for everyone who visits.
